Are there any specific requirements to use Homemanager?

Starting with Homemanager 3, we support all Homebridge systems that use the Homebridge UI with V4.29.0 or newer, and all HOOBS systems with V3.2.10 or newer. It doesn't matter on which platform you have Homebridge or HOOBS installed anymore. Thanks to our close collaboration with the Homebridge team, new features or API changes will always be implemented on time. All you need to do is update the app, and we'll take care of the rest.

So what exactly is Homebridge / HOOBS?

Homebridge is an open-source software developed by a large community to provide HomeKit support for nearly all smart devices on the market. Homebridge acts as a bridge between your physical smart home devices and HomeKit, allowing you to control your non-certified HomeKit devices with any HomeKit app and Siri. On the other hand, HOOBS, developed by "HOOBS Inc.", is an alternative to Homebridge that focuses on hardware out-of-the-box solutions. If you don't have a server running yet, you can find more information and interactive instructions within the app.

Does the app come with a cost?

Yes, due to the extensive maintenance effort, support, and continuous addition of new features, we are unable to offer the app for free. However, to help you get acquainted with the app, we offer a 14-day free trial period with no payment or in-app purchase required. After this trial period, you can choose from two different licenses, both of which are lifetime licenses. The prices for your country can be viewed in the in-app purchases section of the AppStore.

Is there a way to contribute to the development of Homemanager?

Absolutely! We value and welcome feedback and feature requests from our community. If you would like to help us localize the app into your native language or participate in beta testing, please feel free to reach out to us.

If you encounter a bug, have issues with a plugin, or simply have general questions, you can easily reach our support team by sending an email to support@homemanager-app.de. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
